My Favourite Cocktail Spots

After a glass of wine, my next favourite drink is definitely a well made cocktail. There are an abundance of very cool cocktail bars in Barcelona, but here is a selection of some my Old Town favourites that keep me coming back for more!

My all time favourite. So much so I’m not sure I want to share! Tucked away in El Born neighbourhood this wee gem is worth seeking out. The quirky and cool decor makes you feel like your in a private members club. I love to get a seat at the bar where I can watch in amazement the guys create art in the form of cocktails. Pure class.

A place I’ve been coming to since I first started visiting Barcelona and a favourite of any visitors I have had! These guys do almost any kind of flavoured Mojito you can think of, including my favourite the “Moet Mojito.” The flamingo decor and funky furniture inside echoes the fun atmosphere of the whole bar. Sit on the terrace looking out to the Born Passeig and people watch until your heart’s content.

This is one for the gin lovers. Not only do they have a great menu of cocktails, they have their very own homemade infused gins! I love the “swing music” theme to this bar, it's a great place to meet with your friends on the weekend and enjoy a couple of gins! Try the “Granny Smith” gin, yum!

Relatively new on the block, Bar Sauvage have some interesting cocktails on the their extensive menu, my favourite being “The Stiletto.” They also serve Peruvian and Mexican Street food style bites from their restaurant “Pink Taco,” great if you like a nibble while you drink! You can continue on into the night as well in their nightclub down stairs.

Ok, so not strictly a cocktail bar although they do have a few on the menu, this is actually a wine bar. Just a stones throw from the Cathedral in a gorgeous and quiet placa, Zona D’Ombra specialise in selling bottles as well as wine by the glass. They have a great tapas menu too if you fancy a few bites with a nice white wine in the sun. My favourite place to stop for a wine and watch the world go by.

So whether it's a cocktail, a gin or a lovey glass of wine you desire, these places will have you covered!
